Lmao, I want to get 31's BFG T/A KO's on with tt/shackles, but people tell me it's not a good idea because I like to race a lot. Definitly getting the mac intake, and if I have enough money (probably not) TM headers..

what do you think about getting 31's without tt/shackles?

What else do you guys think I could tell the tech to do to cut the total cost of this? I already told him I don't need the fender replaced, and I can keep the bottom part of the bumper for the fog lights cuz it's not damaged. Should I tell him not to paint that fiber glass piece? What would it look like un-painted? (Part is labeled as Front Panel) The part right under the grill that extends to the bottom front of each fender.

How long are you going to keep your vehicle? And depending on the mods you do you might be able to make some changes (take a look at some of the modified vehicles w/altered front ends. You might be able to change up the whole font end and save a bundle

Truck just went into the shop today. I'll get it on Friday. I found a place that'll do my tires.. good ol sears.. I might not have enough money for mods after tags, IM, and insurrance... they'll have to wait..

Could 31's be considered as a mod? =P

what if after you lift it the tires look small? why not lift first? it's not like a 3rd gen... you have a lot of options.

i'm only gonna lift it if i have rubbing issues with 31's or it looks too low (im not gonna get larger than 31's, i do mild off-roading.. but im mainly on the road.. i don't need to go too far to customize for off-road.. besides... iv got awd, not 4x4.. for serious off-roading..

im probably gonna get the shackles... n MAYBE do the front TT... i kinda like the look of the nose pointed downward, just not overdone..

I don't do anything close to offroading, so I can't say, but I'm not too sure the nose down would work very well in those situations - no real clearance. I did my tires first, but w/o plans to o/r. IF any o/r is done, it will be rolling slowly over a few hills here and there, and the snow, of course.

I wrecked mine on September 15, 2007 too!! That's really wierd. The only difference is that I hit a fire truck twice and a full size truck at 70 MPH. Fortunately my wife only had minor scrapes and airbag burns, and I walked away w/out a scratch. Neither of us were wearing seatbelts like idiots. It was the day after we got married. I don't think I will ever forget this one... I pocketed $1000 from the wreck... but yeah I just thought that was crazy. Green 1998 XLT 5.0 AWD

The safari bar was bent pretty badly. You would have to buy it from usaa. I bought 2 more '98xlt's after I wrecked this one, so not to be rude, but I would probably put it on my truck if it was salvageable.

Ya know what's funny also.. I got my money from USAA.. the idiot who backed into me was military.. they took this long to figure this out.. I don't like them much now.
