is it possible to put rear discs

on a 93 xlt, would i have to change the whole set up in the rear or is it best to leave well enough alone? with the abs and all.

You can swap in a rear axle from a 95-01 explorer, if you search you should find plenty of info about it.

you can either switch out yoru axle completely to get the disc brakes

or you can adapt your current axle for the disc brakes

in my opinion, i think changing out the axle entirely with disc brake on it all ready would be easier. there's less to screw up. i'm replacing my axle with a later generation rear end, so if anything happens i still have parts for the rear end. plus it's cheaper (cheap junkyard)

Welcome to this forum! Check Ford Motorsports. They sell conversion kits. A mod is short for moderator. They keep this forum organized.
