I heard the relay click but could not hear the fuel pump run when the key was turned on. I dropped the tank but before I install, I hooked power up to new pump and turned key on but it did not run. Should it? I raised the float arm but still nothing. My daughter said she had just put oil in the day before it quit. I don't know where to go from here, oh yeah the fuse is good but like I said, I hear the relay clicking.

You should check the inertia switch. It's under the carpet by the passenger's feet. It's designed to shut off fuel pump power in an accident so if it was accidently jostled it may have tripped.

It seems it was the fuel pump. She's runnin'. The only issue now is the fuel gauge no longer works. The pump was a complete ass'y including the sending unit and it worked for the first ride but after she started it again the gauge doesn't work. I don't want to drop the tank again right now so I guess we'll just deal with that. Thanks for the responses.
