well today i felt the rpm rise and the tires squeel like the tranny sliped but i dismissed it thinking that i just peeled out and lost traction but after a couple other times ,about 3, of the rpms rising and then a jolt of the back wheels engaging in the same day should i look into a good tranmission place or could it be another problem? tranny has 208000 miles on it mostly highway. there is enough fluid in the tranny. how much should i expect to pay if it is the tranny it is a 94 so i should have one of the so called better trannys not early models. how long before it goes out all together?

any help would be appreciated

I recommend Cottman Transmissions, have them look at it.

where would i find cottman transmissions

I just had my tranny flushed, and I also told the guys to check all the bolts on the valve body. They said they actually found 4 that were loose.

It seemed to fix my slipping (for now at least);)

i am in school now so when i have any freetime i will go by a tranny shop to see if they can tell me what is exactly wrong. hopefully something cheap

just called the transmission place and they said that they replacd the modulator so i will see when i get it back this afternoon
