I'm hoping that the whole "you get what you pay for" thing isn't true with these. I just ordered a set from 1aauto and will be putting them on today. The box says MADE IN CHINA. Hopefully they last, but I'm not holding my breath. At least they are easy to change...

So how did they work out?

He's not gonna know for a little while. After some stress over time.

I would bet that the noise you are hearing is your transfer case and the self contained bearing units are not serviceable spyntex mite make a conversion kit to convert your bearings to a serviceable type.

when i put it in 4wd or 4low it makes a growling nosie when i try to drive it and it try not to go until i push the gas and thats when the nosie begin its comes from the front end but when i switch it back to 2wd it dont make that nosie

Sounds like a transfer case issue...Switching from 2wd to 4wd wouldn't affect the hubs.

those things are junk i bought one and it went bad in less than a year

What kind of driving do you do?
Were they timkin bearings?

I'm gonna need to know if these are good or bad. I now see they offer motorcraft ones but they are spendy.

i just do normall street driving maybe like 6k a year. not sure what brand they were they just showed up in a plain white box with china on them. i actually just got replacement timkin bearing in yesterday so i will see how these ones are

I had the same issue. Sounded like TCASE, pulled out my front driveshaft, the cv joint on it is failing.

I changed out both of the hub assemblies (Timken) 4 months ago and the driver's side just started making noise again. Never had an issue with Timken bearings before but this is the first.

just wondering what kind of driving did you do on those china made hubs?
mixed or mainly 4x4 or mostly 2wd? thanks
all my driving is street normal driving. %99 of the time in 2wd

but is it the hubs?

many people are still stuck on the whole hub idea when the "evidence" doesn't seem to point to that. If it only makes the noise in 4wd and not in 2wd then I would have to agree with it being transfer case related. Someone also suggested front driveshaft, but this rotates all the time with the rotation of the front wheels. Bad hub assemblies would be continuous with wheel rotation so the 2wd, 4wd positioning wouldn't be significant.

If possible to test, I would say remove the front driveshaft (make sure to mark it so you can reinstall it correctly) drive around the block in both 2wd and 4wd and see if you hear the noise? If you get the same result, then it is definitely transfer case related.
