I have a friend with a '93 X it needs a new blower motor. I haven't had a chance to look at it close yet. I don't have a good place to work on it like a garage I have to work on it in a parking lot. So I need to know if it's something that can be done in a couple hours like just taking the cover off from under the dash and being able to get to the motor? Or if I have to take half the dash apart to get to it which of course would take considerably longer?

You should be able to do it within a few hours sitting in the driveway/parking lot or in a garage.. There are directions on how to remove it in any Haynes/Chilton manual.

Simple. It's not done under the dash. It's removed from the engine compartment. All you have to do is take the air cleaner box out. The blower motor is behind that on the firewall. 3 screws to remove. 1 connector & it's out.

Cool thanks guys that helps a lot. I thought it was under the dash there on the passenger side. I would have been under there ripping stuff out scratching my head.
