I've taken out my 3rd one while wheeling last week and I'm tired of it.

I like to listen to music as I'm wheelin (except in really serious stuff) but damn tree's keep bending that antenna back and/or breaking it.

is there a wire I could put a switch to in the back of the deck to make it go down but keep the CD player on?

Just a guess but you could probably just unhook the power supply to the power antenna when it is down, or you could replace the power antenna with a spring mounted or rubber one

There's a wire that goes from your deck to the antenna which tells the antenna when your deck is on/off. You could spice a simple on/off switch into it. The wire is usually blue. If you have an aftermarket sound system, make sure you only put a switch on the part of the wire going to the antenna, and not the part going to your amplifiers (this wire is also used to turn amps on/off).

the wire is BLUE with a WHITE stripe, also known as the "remote" wire.

Yes, mount an interrupt switch. I did it on my old acura b/c I never listened to the radio and it would go up and down everytime I switched CD's.. I was afraid of the motor burning out. That, and it looked really dorky with it up
