Is this a good buy or No?

I have the opportunity to buy from someone I know an 04' v6 explorer. The engine was rebuilt at 90k not to long ago from a shop that I know does good work. It currently does need valve cover gaskets the seller has told me, which he said he'll be taking care upon purchase. He's looking to get 3500 is this a potentially good deal for an daily driver for a few years or more? or am I looking to encountering future problems whats your thoughts on this?

Sounds like a good deal to me, how many total miles are on it. What other work or maintanence has been done. How are the tires, does it shift good, any wrecks. Still sounds good for the money, looks like mine which is a great SUV.

Havn't had the chance to drive it yet so all my findings are strictly info based I don't have an exact mileage, He told me the engine was rebuilt in january and he hasn't really drove it since cause he has two other vehicles no wrecks to my knowledge I will request more info and take it for an drive Monday. Tires are pretty much new seen a picture of them he bought them back in july.

It sounds like a decent deal, but...why are gaskets leaking two months after a rebuild? Something is off. Why was the engine rebuilt? What has been done with the transmission?

That what's I was wondering why I came here for a point in direction. Engine was rebuilt for an blown head gasket. To my knowledge nothing has been done with transmission I just texted him and asked about what maintenance has been done since he had the truck and why the gaskets need changing after the engine has been rebuilt.
