I just hit 35k on my '05 Altima 3.5 and the factory Bridgestone Turenzas are wore down pretty good so I need a new set of tires anyways. I found a decent set of 19" Axis Hiros for $500 on CL last week, so I replied to it and asked about the condition of tires and if the dent in one of the wheels could be repaired. They said the tires have 2,000 miles on them and that Midas said the wheel could be repaired. I'm not sure if this is true or not though, I figured I'd see what you guys said. I've seen a few Altys with these Axis wheels on them and they're def the best looking IMO. Except these are silver and the Anthracite ones look better, but these will still look nice enough, I think. Take a look at the ad and tell me what you think.

do u got pics of them installed on ur altima and does ur altima got any mods to it

Sounds like a good deal, even if you have to replace the bent wheel.

One of my friends had a set of Nankang tires he got from Discount Tire for his VW GTI. I am not sure on the tire model. He called them Nankang "Maypops", since he replaced three out of four due to them being junk. He was not an aggressive driver by any means.

No, I dont have any pics on the Altima because I haven't bought them yet. I'm still on the fence about them. My Alty's black and I'm just not sure how good these wheels would look on it. I would really prefer the Anthracite version of these wheels or a gunmetal grey color with a similar spoke pattern. But these wheels new are $380/piece, so this good of a deal is hard to pass up. Plus I'm pretty sure they'd look a bit better than the factory 17" alloys on it, not that they look bad, they're just factory, heh.

Yeah, those no-name tires kinda scare me off too. I couldn't find much info about them with a quick Google search. So I have a feeling they're not going to be as good as the factory Bridgestones that came on it and are about wore out.

If I can find out that it will cost less than $200 or so to fix that one wheel, I think I'll take'em though. If anything, can just re-sell'em if I don't like them.

Here's some pics with the factory wheels on it now:

hah, those are the exact wheels I want for the car, but those are the Axis Hiros w/ Anthracite spokes, the CL guy has just the regular silver Hiros. I think they'd look good too, but not as good as the anthracite ones in that pic. They're $380/piece new though and that's a bit too much for me.
