So our dealership claimed they checked and topped off fluids during an oil change a few weeks ago. I popped the hood to look at changing the air filter, and noticed the coolant looked a little low.

Is it normal for the coolant to be at that level below the "cold fill range" or does it look low to you guys? I'm probably gonna get the coolant flushed/changed out for the first time at the dealership in the coming months. So if that looks abnormally low let me know, and I'll bring it up.

I'd call it good, if you want just top it off a little or just watch it.

Make sure you are not losing coolant due to a water pump going bad.

First off, the coolant looks clean, that’s a good thing. Secondly, being the new owner of the vehicle it’s always a good idea to make it your own and have the coolant flushed and filled so you know the exact interval of change. Thirdly, as mentioned definitely fill it to within the cold full lines on the tank and keep an eye on it. It may also be wise, if it’s not already showing, to change your dashboard display to show the coolant temperature gauge, hot vs cold. Lastly, if you have the coolant flushed and filled by Ford (I would recommend the dealership for this process), there will more than likely be air bubbles in it so you will have to watch it and add coolant to it for the first week or so, at least that has been my experience twice after a flush and fills.

Unless you drive in dusty conditions, I'm guessing that judging from the condition of the cap, the dealer didn't touch it. I'd recommend adding to the proper mark and keeping an eye on it.
