Hey guys,

I found this flipout headunit on craigslist and it is up for $150 obo. It sounded like a pretty good deal to me but I thought I would ask your opinion and also see if anyone has dealt with this brand before. I sent an email and asked for the exact item number so I will post that on here once I get it. Is there a certain price that I should offer or any other questions I should ask? They told me it comes with everything needed to install it, although I may need to get a new plastic piece so that it fits into my X. They said the warranty covers all defects but I don't know how long that will last so I asked.

Let me know what you guys I think. Thanks.

Boss audio is pure junk.

i dont know much about electronics, but it sure does look sick. but dont judge a obok by its cover i guess.. haha

if you want cheap you can get new of the net for that price.

Boss Audio is cheap ****. Check out Sonic electronics or other on line shops. For $150 you can buy a Pioneer,Kenwood or Alpine deck that will blow the Boss unit away.

IMO, always go with Alpine, haha

I miss the old Alpines with the 6 green big buttons on the front. Those were the days

ok thanks guys, I have a pioneer headunit right now... i just saw a headunit with a flipout monitor for only $150... I guess you get what you pay for... I'll be sticking with my pioneer

One of the best decks I have owned lately was a $69 or $79 (can't remember exactly) JVC cd deck I got at WalMart. Had Ipod jack on the front and came with a remote control. Was pretty decent for the $$$$

yeah, im pretty happy with the one I have now... the only extra thing I would like on it would be an AUX plug in. I have a radio adapter for my ipod but it cuts the sound down so much that I really have to crank up the volume.

My cheap Kenwood unit has a aux input. I use it a lot with my mp3 player. My next HU will be a Media receiver only. No cd player I want a front usb port & a SD card slot on my next radio.

My current head unit is the Pioneer DEH-P6300. I would have really liked to have had an alpine, but I got the pioneer for free, almost brand new, so I guess I can't really complain.

Oh and I found one of my dad's Alpine pieces out of his 1970s Mach I still with the original box! If I can track it down again, I will post pics.

I want a Pioneer 8200 Media receiver for my next radio. I don't want a cd player. A sound card slot would be great IMO

You know, flippin through Crutchfields catalog, blows my mind how 50% of the decks in there don't even have a CD player anymore. Stuffs come a long ways

looks good to me. im rockin an old kenwood from 98 still operational. sound is good and build quality is good. they just dont make them like that anymore.
