Is throttle body spacer worth it?

You really should put the SEARCH function to work. There are literally years of posts on this very popular topic. You're only going to get a few current comments, but the 40 and 50 series have been around for a lot of years as are the many past threads on the subject. That's how I made my buying decisions.

I didn't think the SUV 50 series sounded ricey at all. Magnaflow was very ricey to me. Had I done my homework before I bought the Magnaflow, I wouldn't have a one month old muffler sitting in my garage right now!

As before, sound is personal. The only way you're going to know is to bite the bullet and put one in. I really don't care for an overly loud exhaust because it wears on you, especially on road trips. I have a very mellow sounding setup on my V8 right now. It's got a great rumble, is relatively quiet in the cab and not droney at all. It flows great too and is very well made. Canadian company called "Flo-Pro". They have dealers all over the US too. Shoot them an email (they respond to emails) and see what they say. Superb mufflers.

So I think I've decided on getting the flowmaster 40 series. But, what if I got 2? One for each inlet. I know it sounds kind of goofy but I saw a guy on here (except he had a V8) and I didnt think it was bad at all. I have a V6 and I wnat to try get the best of it. Do any of you think it would sound different, worse, or better in a way in your opinion? And how much horsepower would I get with one of them?
Suggestions please! = )

waste of money. maybe 7 hp @ wheels.

I installed the Helix TB spacer about a few weeks ago. Honestly the engine has a much smoother response at low rpm acceleration- in other words you dont have to step so hard on the gas, it feels jumpy now. BUT overall at WFO throttle position I don't think there's any more power at all. I'm happy with it and would install it again if I had to. BTW I got mine on Ebay for $70 brand new with all hardware etc.

I noticed a sucking sound when i hit the gas real quick and just because i was bored on saturday my dad and took of the spacer and put back on my intake without the spacer and hit the gas and it wasnt the sucking sound we heard before. The way the helix throttle body spacer works is it spins the air around and shots in in your MF so if you add a intake with one i would say it addes or helps but hell no about 22 horse power. that calculates to about 5 horse power per 20 dollars that would be the best up grade ever!
