It is safe to let the gas run out?

And it's fairly simple? If I take off the old, gas won't stark leaking from the line will it?

Fuel filters will leak a little bit, not much. The 4dr. Explorers have the same size tank from 91-2001. I've had three of each out, they are almost identical. I like the older plastic tanks better though, just they are harder to get out.
