- '98 XLT 4WD
I can swear that I was once a member of this august body a zillion years ago. In fact, I recall joining a group out in Truckhaven late 2000/early 2001 (I forget when the group ran). But I could find my old login.
It was amusing at the time, I had just got my then new to me '98 XLT 4WD, and I wanted to get some dirt time with it, and this was just the group to do it with. I distinctly recall getting my windshield chipped on the freeway heading down (I still have that chip), but I just took that as "first ding", that going off road is not necessarily a way to keep a vehicle in perfect condition.
No other mishaps, we had a good time, it was a good group, but just never came back, other things took over.
But, here it is, Nov '09, and I still have the truck. As one can imagine, it has a few "issues", but it's never failed to start, never stranded me.
So, I'm mostly looking for insights on how to approach things to gets some nits off my list and ensure the truck stays reliable.
Of course, I could be wrong, could have been a completely different forum.
But, alas, history or no, I'm here now.
