jba,borla, or anyother headers...which one is best?

I know there are a few different header companies for older explorers but which one is best on preformance and reliability?
Gears are being changed soon to 4.56 and looking for extra ooomph so my engine wont have to work quite so hard keeping up with highway speeds. Thanks

anyone know why the JBA cat4wards are 588.00? I was thinking they must be good to be that expensive(even though at that site they are 360.something). Any feedback?

I'll post next week how I like my JBA headers after they get installed this coming weekend. I went with them to be different as well as for the ceramic coating. We'll see...

DCIDER; let us know of any milage gains after the install. Better gas milage is objective Data that we all can use to identify performance improvements. Is there any chance that you will make a few Dyno runs (before & after)for comparison (just kidding). Also, let us know about the install process.

Things are kinda busy @ work, but I'm trying to schedule a dyno run before I get them installed for a base line. Not sure if I can do this in time but I'm going to try.

I plan on documenting the install process that my mechanic will use, take pictures and note mileage before and after. It is a 5 hour trip to get to his shop outside of Redding from San Jose, so it works well for the highway mileage comparison on Hwy 5 up and back.

Not really sure why JBA headers are so expensive. I assume you are looking at the JBA Cat4wards on rpsperformance.com Seems as though Borla is the headers of choice around here and with 1/3 off cupon you can get them for around $287 on carparts.com. I'm leaning toward Borla just because I have read so much about them on the site and all the reveiws seem to be excellent. I went to JBA website and read around a little but i still don't know why they are so "Special." Anyway the cupon code for carparts is 1357004 but it expires on April 30th so you got a couple of weeks to decide. That is if your in the market to buy some fairly soon.

The header install got postponed a week since he forgot when we set the date that it was his wedding aniversary. Fortunately, he remembered in time! Dead Link Removed

I currently have a dyno run set up for this Thursday but may have to change it to Friday. I'll get another run after the install as well and keep everyone posted
