Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help me sort through the mess that JBA calls a product line. I have a 2001 sport trac, 4.0 SOHC. I want to get a set of headers, but am planning on a supercharger in the future. JBA has so many different coating, clorings, and materials, that I cant figure out which is their top of the line set of headers for my engine. They have "Chrome Plated" "Stainless Steel" "Silver Ceramic Coated" and "Titanium Ceramic Coated". Basically I cant figure out the difference between the titanium and silver cermaic coated. Can anyone help me out, thanks in advance.

Talk to John at EE, I believe he carries them.

For your application, the have chrome nickel, silver ceramic, and titanium ceramic.

The chrome nickel is the "bare" coating. It will discolor over time, will flow slightly poorer, and heat up the engine bay more.

The silver ceramic is the normal level of ceramic coating. Helping the headers withstand the heat more, promoting flow, and reducing underhood temps.

The titanium ceramic is the next level of coating. Everything of the silver c. coating but more. Top of the line.

Splat had silver ceramic as the titanium wasn't around. I liked them very much. Seeing the difference firsthand of nickel plated and silver ceramic, if it were me I'd go with the titanium as it's gonna be that much better.

Alec - Thanks, I had assumed the same, but there is no price difference between the two and wanted to be shure before I spent that much money.
