I am new to the site and have been searching the depths of the internet for some information on where to find a replacement JBL subwoofer for a 1997 Mounty. I pulled out the speaker and have visted numerous car stereo places for replacements. All of them tell me they can do after market for 400-500 rocks but I really am looking to only replace the sub and move on. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
SJ

for the factory sub just buy a new sub most brands will fit and bolt it in you can get a 8in to fit in there dont pay anyone to do it its not that hard if you go to the mtx thunderform site there are directions on how to get the panel off if need be you could buy a decent sub for inder a $100

Thank you, I removed the panal, not as easy as you think it should be but never the less I have the speaker out. I will make a couple stops at local stereo shops and see what they can offer.

no problem, if you search on this site there are many threads that tell you how to modify the stock sub box

I have the same problem. However when i took the blown sub out of the rear right cargo area, it measures as a 6.5". ??

Help! I have removed the black box, how do I remove the subwoofer from the box?
