These are some older pics. I now have black American Racing wheels, and I am in the process of doing quite a bit to this truck. My plans are:
1) Taking off the front bumper
2) Installing a bumper guard/light mount
3) After removing the bumper, installing two more Hella lights where the current fog lights are
4) Safari Rack w/second spare tire and 4 KC highlights mounted on it
5) Fender flares and a bit wider tires
6) Some sort of lift, any suggestions are very welcome
7) Removing the side skirts and possibly adding step bars
8) Taking off the rear bumper and adding a tubular bumper
9) and much more...
I will get some new pictures up ASAP. Let me know any comments, please...

sounds good so far. as far as lift... unless u want to go all out with a sas. go with a 3" body lift and 1" to 2" torsion twist and put some 33x12.50 mud terrains or super swampers. gear it with 4.56's and add a couple lockers. and no step bars. all they do is get hung on things.

Welcome to the site, nice looking X  hiridin pretty much hit the nail on the head with the lift info ;)

Thanks guys. I don't mind droppin a buck or two for a lift, the truck will be paid off in October. I was just looking on Trailmaster's website, and they have one listed but I can't find it anywhere, any suggestions? Thanks.

superlift's kit is the best IFS kit for the explorer

You guys really gotta help me out. I want to take off the bumpers and put on the crazy front pipe bumper. I havetons of lighting, just no place to put it all. I was thinking of glass fenders, and 33's for sure. Safari rack with lighting, tailgate mount spare and some other crazy isht. Help please!!!

Here are a couple more current pictures. I figured I'd get some before I started tearing it apart. Anyone who can give me directions to doing anything easy on this truck would be much appreciated. I want to do a SOA, but I don't know how hard it is to do. I also want glass fenders. How should I do the front? I assume you can only get 2" +/- with a tortion twist, is that correct? Would I be able to fit 33's under there if I got rid of the bumper? Please let me know, and thanks all. I will become Elite very soon.

if u do a soa yer going to have an ugly rake to yer truck. there was someone on here u did a soa and a 2" torsion twist and did a sloped body lift to help it even out. but otherwise i'd stick to add-a-leafs and a torsion twist. then fiberglass if thats how u want to go. u should be able to fit 33's then. but it would be cheaper to do the body lift instead of the fiberglass. u could do a soa if u bought a 4" lift for the front. then twisted it up another inch or two. again if yer jus going with 33's u won't really need the fiberglass then.

superlift! youll have no problem fitting those 33s, just my opinion

Thanks for the input guys! I really like the look of the Baja style truck, and I am on the glass kick right now, so if I can get 33's with a 3" body, then maybe add a leaf, tt and glass fenders, I would be extremely happy. I want it to look tall, wide and mean. Keep the input comin'!! Asta...

Here are a couple trucks on this site that I'd like to model mine after

Ray's, Obviously...

DMB's is sweet
and

and Clark Kent's beautiful Mounty.

I like the stance of Rays, the styling of DMB's and the front end and body mods of Clark's. Maybe I'll make a Mutt of all of them... Later...

hmmmmm. sounds like you want something like this.....believe its a BL TT and AAL, glass, bumper

nice looking X good luck with it. by the way what does the XLS trim level mean? i've always wondered...

yes yes yes!!!

Yes Dave, that is exactly what I want! Perfecto!! Hopefully it wont be too expensive:) Today I took off the molding and tupperware. It was a pretty tedious job. The two sided tape was a beotch!! And it was 98 degrees in Michigan! No beer, low on cigs, I had a rough day:) Anyways here are some pics of the truck as of right now. BTW XLS trim is Ford for Bottom Of The Line. No fog lights, cheasy plastic bumpers, 15" stock wheels, all cloth. I knew I was going to be doing stuff to it (eventually racing seats) so I didn't want to get anything too nice. Anyways, take care, and hopefully tomorrow I can clean out the interior and takes pics of my stereo in progress. Thanks...
