I got quoted $220 for a JL Box today. I know they go for more than that, but I forgot what the price was. Does anybody know the price? The guy said they ordered it for one of the employee's Explorers but he decided he wanted more than 1 10...it's been sitting in the store for 6 months.

I got mine for $239 from a guy, which was $200 for the box and the rest is shipping charges for the sub and box together, plus its COD. I think $220 is a good price.

Sup peoples? Well, im in the market for a minor audio upgrade, so i KNOW how much that friggin box costs! if it is the stealthbox that fits in the pocket of the rear passenger side, Al and Ed's Autosound said it would cost me $525!!! WHAT THE H-E-Double hockeystix???? THAT PRICE IS INSANE!!! I know its JL and i know its stealth, but not $525 worth of stealth! im just gonna get a box and sub and it'll probably sound better than that damn box anyways...

Try and shop around. $525 is waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too much. I got quoted $425 at this one place, then the place I'm buying it from said $375 and now because it's been sitting around $220. If you want a cheap place for a sub go to http://www.tms-electronics.com They beat everybody by like 50%.

golden box ???

These boxes, JL and Q Logic, are a nice way to mount a sub without compromising the cargo area. However... what's the deal with the chunky price? Even at $200, it's just a box!!
I'm wanting to make my own sub enclosure for the side cubby location. My sub (as with most) specs the cu ft volume of both ported and sealed enclosures. Bearing that in mind, seems a box made of particle board would work fine. The visible surface can be covered with a piece of material.
Cost on this project, about 10-15 bucks.
OK, I've convinced myself, now someone tell me if I'm missing something here? What more is there to it? A rigid enclosure of the spec'd volume... What more do I need?

I was quoted $549 for that box, empty! I got a quote on an MTX Loaded for $250 from Circuit City. For now I'm sticking with my MTX Full range setup with 2 10" woofers. It's not taking up too much space, and if I need the room, I can always unplug it and take it out.

Dude, go for it!!! That's a great price for a JL box. They're so expensive, because they're made of fiberglass. The MTX are made of a rotationally molded high density plastic. Don't know about the Q-Logics. From an autosound magazine, when they did the sound off, there was a two decibels more yielded from the JL box over the MTX, but that was in a Suburban. Other than that, the frequency charts were pretty similar. Hard to really tell...

I was about ready to kill the guy today at the shop. The person that quoted me the price wasn't there and the owner was. I told him I'd take it and he rang it up....for $550!!!! I was like WTF!!!!! He said the kid didn't know what he was talking about, which was BS. So now I'm not getting one and don't know what I'm going to do.
