that little notchon the feet things the bolts go in was on the valve side in that pic :/

so much for the torch... i couldnt figure out howto light it, tried everything it just didnt produce a light. then i turned it back off and the knob came off(in the off position)

edit: tried what another friend suggested. socket and breaker bar, give a good couple wacks, crawl out and spray with pb blaster, go back under and loosen. its working! i got one bolt off each side. 3rd on drivers side(one i was drilling through) i accidentally tightened now its not loosening, 4th is just hard to get to, trannys pipes and cat flange. time to go back out there :hammer:

Glad to see those headers worked out for you. Didn't realize they were the same ones till I the end of the thread and saw your name.

yea. dont remember what you had them in? mustve been a 2nd gen or something cause the o2 sensors. gotta redo those, i only need one apparently. theyre still listed in your sig for sale btw :p (unless thats diff ones)

well, the y-pipe is off!!!! no torch, just stuck the breaker bar on them and beat them down, pb blaster, then unscrewed them. all this *****ing and whining about them and in the end they came off pretty easy :/

now that you have brakes jd, come help me so i dont break a rib unbolting the tranny. me and you may have to lift the engine out by hand if this guy doesnt get me a hoist lol (i have poptarts and beer)
or does anyone from here know a store that will rent a hoist?

Wow i dont think you got enough beer or poptarts for us to be able to pick an engine up!!!

Hell no still wouldnt happen! !

Nope my dads buddy still has it and its not an easything to move around, its HUGE!! i would take them out

about to order new springs and motor mounts. question, should i get new Valve Guides, Valve Seats, Valve Spring Keepers, Valve Stem Seals also?
and how about cylinder head plugs? are those freeze plugs? new ones also?

and anything else i should get so i can order all at once? (rockauto)

Did you get afull engine gasket set??if so then no all you need is springs.
