My brother (who owns a Toyota junk yard) is a major junk yard junky. He told me he knows where to go to find the BW 4406 and related parts. Well he was right and we found several 4406s with linkage and shifters.

The 4406 and front drive shaft came out of a 97 F150 the rear D shaft from a 2001 Expedition. The front flares are off a 2nd gen Eddie and I grabbed a second shifter while we were there.

Sound about right as far as parts I'll need for my 98 EX?

Does anyone have drive shaft measurements so I can verify the shafts I got are correct?

I'll be going back when it warms up some more to get another 4406 and linkage to resell but that's another story.

I'm kinda pumped to find everything in one place and them some!

I had a buddy at work give me a 1st gen front driveshaft, I didn't even ask for it he just heard I had an EX and he brought it in.

It is roughly 2'' longer then the stock CV D shaft after installing the #627 flange yoke.

So I guess the front flange on the 4406 is farther back then the stock case once it's installed?

Am I missing something?

Not if you have it sighted in properly.

Looks like you have the correct tail housing on the 4406. I grabbed a 4406 off of a 2001 f150 and the tail housing wouldn't work because of the different vehicle speed sensor but I just found the correct housing yesterday so I'm good. Looks like you got it covered.

Thanks Grabber

I just hope the rear DS is correct since I couldn't tell what motor was in the donor.

I finally made it back to that junk yard and got most everything I was looking for.

I got the rest of the flares to make a set, 2 console lids, fuse box cover, cruise control buttons, a stock lug wrench, and a factory sub box.

The hardest thing to find was the factory lug wrench. Mine was missing and I have a new spare tire and aluminum wheel to put in its place but without that wrench it's a PITA to do. I bet we looked through 50 Explorers till we found the only one in the yard.

The sub was toast since the hatch was open and I didn't want the factory amp so I let those things there.

Well, I just wanted to show the new finds. :D

Non-broken OEM sub trim covers are kinda rare in the junkyards I hit. Most are pried off and broken due to people seeing if there is some nice aftermarket sub behind them.

Although I did pull a cover like that, non-broken, within the last month. Lucky.

What are those sub boxes going for? I am about to pull the one from my 99 to relocate my amp into its location.

$5-$15 depending on the junk yard around here.

I'd give you mind for the cost of shipping, but.. it'll cost a fortune to ship down there.

i don't need one, i'm going to pull mine out and toss it. amp works and the factory sub isn't blown but i have no use for it since i have 2 15's in the back.

I paid $12 for mine, but $6 of that was because I left the OEM amp attached to it. Figured I might sell it to someone who needed it.
