very nice :) is that a playstation in the trunk on the passenger side? i bet that winch puts out some crazy bass, too

yeah thats a ps1 there, the ps2 is in the center console, the vcr is mounted flush on the drivers side, u can bearly see the top of it there,

yeah, the whinch puts out some awsome sound.... especially when ur stuck.... lol

is the winch mounted there?

naaa the winch is not mounted there, it has a hitch mount for the front, I just take it off so it dont "walk"

Oh. That would be an interesting place to mount it though but It wouldnt be easy and your inside wouldnt stay clean very long.

Nice setup. I can't wait to see it when everything is done.

Extremely nice Job. If you don't mind me asking, what are the dimensions of the two sides where the amp is? I have been wanting to do this exact same thing for some time now. It's awesome to see someone that has done it. I guess great minds think alike. You can have all audio equipment in the back and still have cargo space.
Thanks

Okay, first of all, nice set up, but why the PS! and the PS2 since the PS2 can play PS1 games?

cause I dont have a chip in the ps2 yet, and I got a lot of cdr games for ps1, when i put the chip in the ps2, the ps1 will come out

Okay, what do you use for a display?

2 monitors, one up in front over the radio , the other flips down out of the pod with the 2 dome lights inthe middle of the truck, look at the pic, you'll see it..... there is also a better pic of it on my site, where the overhead if flipped down.

what series JL audio's are those?

Black Magic, they are tweeter and mid, housings.

99explorer5.0, they're 12w6's

is that an indiglo gauge kit i see?

if so, was it difficult to install? I just received my kit for my '97 from nr auto yesterday...can't wait to get it installed.

also...i'd find a way to strap that winch down if it's not...i wouldn't want that bouncing around in the explorer with me in the event of a hard crash/flip/or rollover.

randy

Well, sure does look clean! My question is... Don't ya think it takes up a whole ton of room? Or is it worth the pay off for the sound and video ya got?
Pete

weebo, yes that is a indiglo kit, it was cake to install, took me a whole 45 min to intall it and did it right in the truck. as per tieing down the winch, I know I should, Just havent had the time.

RFR2212, believe it or not, it really doesnt take up much room, I know it looks like a lot but its not, if you have seen my previous setup, now that took up a lot of room, a pic of that can be found here www.extremexplorers.com/lizardtrac
and the sound? well the sound is awsome and worth every square inch it takes up.....
