Well I have had the sounds of my brakes grinding driving me nuts lately and I have been tryin to get them repaired as I have never done so myself before. Well today was that day in which I finally got a hold of my mechanic (in which I know personally) and we were going to take care of it today. But low and behold on the way home from work last night *snap* yeah there goes the neighborhood...a red light and the brakes just ain't working. Now one side was giving me grinding so I knew I had at least some brakes there but again..the red light magically overwhelmed them and I wound up in the middle of a damn intersection. First instinct is to hit the gas which is a good idea I find out in the end cause I am still alive :)...well lets just say I trailor queened my truck for a couple minutes and got it home...it is now on a jack and the brakes gotta be fixed....I ain't no magical genius or mechanically inclined person of the sort as far as I know as of yet..so there will be pictures to follow this post and I hope you guys will be willing to help me out...I have a general idea of what has to be done...but at the same time...i don't lol...u know what I mean...its not a system...and that scares me lmao...

Holly SH*t! Good thing your ok.. I would love to have had video of that. Running through an intersection with no brakes. Gotta make light of the story..

lol go make light of the story and get yer ass over here and help me out damnit....

You'll need a good fabric cleaner to start with! LOL! Sounds like you'll need new brake pads and rotors. Hopefully that'll be it.

yeah well we got under there and couldn't get the damn rotor off...the caliper is frozen we are pretty sure also...

bushing is shot too we saw...so hey looks like i will let the real mechanic get his hands on it...unless there is something i missed for gettin the rotor off...and if half of the hub housing supposed to remain in the wheel when i take the wheel off???lol i think im ####ed..

id let the reall mechanic do it.. You dont want it happening again..

new brakes for the X up front...that's the bottom line..i mine as well since its reptty ####ed up and the other sides pads...well they aren't to nice either :)...
