Hi there, Im David, from Vancouver BC. So right now Im driving a 93 Ranger, single cab long box 4x4. Ive had a bit of fun with it but the cab is just too small and I was getting frustrated. I set out looking for an Isuzu trooper, but none were really on craigslist at the time. A couple days ago my dad texted me, his girlfriend's friend had an old explorer sitting in their yard that they wanted gone for $500. I figured Id take a quick look. Its a 2000, Eddie Bauer, with 221,000 kms on it. It was parked in 2011 because the check engine light came on and the Air care people wouldnt pass it. I put a battery in it, and tried it. It eventually started, but the starter solenoid is intermittently not working. I scanned it and the codes are P0455 and P0457, Gross evap leak and gas cap 
It runs and drives ok, Interior is nice (only tear is in the armrest), And the sunroof doesnt leak! Its the 4.0, timing chains were done in the past so good point there. My plan is to rip off the running boards and other plastic crap, Lift it a touch and put the 32s from my ranger on it, and DD the Expo.
Will lifting it screw with the air shocks? Can those be changed for standard shocks? And what is the general thought on the brown wire mod?
