Help! I'm at my wit's end with this air conditioning system... the truck is a 2002 Sport with a 5.0 out of a 2000. All of the AC parts are less than a year old and came out of the 2002 with the exception of the suction/discharge line, which I sourced from the 2000. Everything worked before the swap, the system is charged and not leaking, and I'm just stumped. I thought I had all of the wiring sorted out but I'm starting to second guess myself. Hit me with suggestions, I'll take anything at this point!

Do you have a dual gauge setup? What are the pressures? Check the high and low switches?

Have you checked for a voltage signal at the AC WOT relay, or the LP sensor? The clutch trigger current goes through the LP and HP sensors(switches), and finally to the WOT relay.

Whelp, it was fuse #10 in the central junction box... a 7.5a that's supposed to control the turn signal relay. Who knew!?

Great, good find.

okay phew
I was thinking a 5.0 swap in a sport should not require any special AC wiring........ I have had my fill of special 5.0 wiring for a couple of weeks :) HAHAHAHAHAHA

You do have to add a pigtail to the engine harness to accommodate one of the pressure switches, but it’s not difficult at all. There’s also a grey/white wire at the connector on the other end of that new pigtail that needs to be re-pinned so it lines up correctly with the Sport’s body harness. Super easy, especially if you’re able to do it while the engine is out.
