i only dropped it about 1 1/2 inches but did nothing but twist the bolts. I had two questions:
1. Do I need to do anything else to the car so the drop wont hurt it and
2. If I take the bolts all the way out with it affect the car?

You need an alignment and taking the bolts out will only increase the drop, it won't hurt anything.

welcome to the site.. lets see some pictures!

You'll need to install camber adjusters in you haven't already.

Its easier to do it yourself, and you save about $170. Just run a search for camber ajusters. There's a good write up done by someone I can't remember with pictures. Its fairly simple and straight forward install.
