I decided to buy one of the electric shiftpluse ones and install it. At first i thought it wasnt working. Upon driving around a bit, i realised it was working.. however it is barely noticable. I must say i am disappointed. From what i can tell, it just disengages the transmission from the engine, lets the engine rev about another 500rpm with no load, and then shifts in to the next gear. WHile this does add a slight amount of firmness to the stock feeling.. i dont think its worth the $35.

If anyone else has used this kit please post here about your experience. Thanks :)

Hmm. Maybe its because my trans code (TR on the sticker, right?) is T. But i've heard of it working for others.. any input guys?

I put one in my 96 last weekend. A very noticable difference to me. In postition 2 it now shifts like it should, no racing between gears any more. Only thing I don't like is when slowing to a stop there is a noticable klunk at 20 mph when downshifting to 1st. Seems to have reduced the wait time when shifting to drive from reverse with a cold trannie too.
Position 3 is a little firmer, but no tire spinner.
You may have other problems. Much mention about valve body gaskets and torque of the valve body bolts in other threads. Trans code T.

Hmm havent heard any info on the valve body stuff. Dunno if i specidied earlier but i installed the shift plus electronic thingy. Very little to no differnece between the stock (center positon) or firmess 1 and 2 settings.

My friend had one in a Camaro and on Stage 2 he would bark tires. Maybe it's faulty.

Thats what i'm hoping. I'm gonna call B&M tomorrow, if not go down to them, as they are only a block or two away :D

I had one on my blazer and you could tell immediatly, maybe your not hooked up right or something? Esp on stage II it jerked the truck

I checked and double checked and made sure the wires were connected at the right spots. Also the lil box mid way down the cable gets nice and hot, which is said to be normal. if both wires werent connected right, this wouldnt happen.

So i called b&m. They basically said that some versoins just dont work, and that i should return it. Kinda sucks, i was really looking foreward to firmer shifts :(

Where can I get one of these?

Summit I think.

Will it work with non-OBDII vehicles?

There are valve body kits, for correcting factory transmission issues, especially the first models made. You would probably gain more trans life by adding the TransGo correction kit. Do find an experienced person to do the valve body work. Good luck,
