Has anyone else got an Aussie Locker in their rear axle?
I've read and done alot of research, and they seem like real quality lockers.
I'll write up a report after I get it installed.
I'm Stoked!! :D

I have heard nothing but good things about them, improved material and design over the traditional lock rite style locker.

Take pictures!
You better hurry, get that sucker installed and test it before Moab

I hope it gets here in time. It should only take about 1.5-2 hours to get it in according to their instructions. I'm gonna have to haul ass to get as much done on this thing as I can before Moab.

feel like an update? moab should have been a good test. i'm thinkin i might make the same choice.

Subscribing...definitely want a review of this thing after it's done MOAB :D

The Aussie Locker performed Flawlessly!!! No slipping like Marshall's click click boom powertrax! :p:
I tested it on some very hard lines at times, and it never let me down.
I would recommend this locker to anyone who does some pretty hardcore wheelin. It is only a lunchbox locker, but for the price, you can afford 2 or 3 if they blow up and still be about even if you had gotten a Detroit or ARB that is the full carrier type.
Now, we will see how long it lasts. They have a 2 yr warranty on it, and they guarantee it for any amount of horsepower that's in your engine to not blow it up, so we'll see.

Definately

oh, and my dad and I installed it in about 2.5 hours. It would have been faster, but we made a mistake by putting the springs in backwards so we had to take it out and start again. :D Very simple and very strong!!! :exporange

Awesome, that's just what I wanted to hear. How's it do on the street? (Going around turns, etc.)

It sticks together on the street pretty much all the time. If you go around a really sharp turn, it will click, but it's not very loud, and it doesn't last long. The tires will chirp a little bit, but if you don't push it real hard, then they will be just fine.

how much?$$$$

$229 on their site...we are still trying to find out if we get discounts since they are a sponsor of the site.

Advertised as $229 on their webpage.

They actually had some for the 8.8 that was listed under 80's F-150s, that were like $30 bucks less... why would it be cheaper for the same 8.8? i guess the older 8.8's are different.

I looked into why the other 8.8's were cheaper, and it's because of the different shaft size. The older shafts were 3/4" and ours are 7/8".
With shipping and everything it was $248.50. Shipping was pricey, but still total, it is cheaper than all the others. That would suck if they now gave us discounts because they just became a sponser. Then I wouldn't have gotten the discount. Oh well, it is still worth it. :D

soo on the street it is pretty much all the time locked up??

so i doesn't really disingage that might not be good cause i do alot of snow driving. druing the winter

How quiet is it? do you hear it?
