Just bought these, new out of box and with most wiring. I am going to be installing them as Aux Back up lights so I don't need all the wiring. Just going to run a power and then a relay to the back up lights. :D

I love the internet!

Thats should be awsome and really bright!! Those are some nice lookin lights too.

sweet...dunno about aux back up lights on a street truck though...youll have to prove me wrong ;)

As for making them look good that is what I will see. I have to try them in a few spots. If I don't like them I will just find a spot up front. Or sell them. I couldn't pass them up for that price!

Hey,

i have an idea
u could cut soem holes in ur rear bumper and recess them in there ??

i dunno kinda dumb jsut an idea

PEACE

also if u decide to sell them can u send me a PM i relly like those

do u know how much they retail for ??

Where is my set

Great deal on the lights:D Got another set laying around?;)

Heres where I put some 1400s.
I used some steel to make a protector for the backs of the lights. Trying to keep slush & rain/snow from hitting the backside of the lights.

hey matt.. i was talkin to a friend of a crazy idea i had. it was to get a solenoid, for each light, and make it so that it would normally sit hidden behind the rear bumper when not in use, but when activated, the solenoid would swing 90degrees down, and aim straight back and turn on. The only thing is i dont know how to go about doing this. but thats why im an electrical engineering student.. gotta learn somehow.. any ideas?

man thats too much work. i've got the same set up as bill, but with crappier lights.

cool deal.
I too have PIAA backup lights.. mainly cuz i got 2 sets of piaa lights (piaa 001 solitaires and 912's) for free.

I used the small 001 as back up lights. they look great on back (real small and almost invisible.) But thru the tinted rear window.. they help me see when backing up and night.

which reminds me.. i need to go re-aim them and tighten them down cuz i backed into a snow bank and funked em up.

hey I have PIAA backup lights too! :). The 1400's. Theyw ork great. Thats a good deal for those 001's, but not sure I'd use em up front, not enough light.

Was this an ebay find? Where did you pick them up for 35?

yeah they would make great backup lights.
FYI, here's my PIAA 1400's.
