Hi everyone,

Just joined, and figured I'd do an intro post.

I picked up my 2015 Explorer Sport on Saturday. We were going to wait for the 16's, but my wife was starting to have issues with her 08 Saturn Vue Redline, and she liked the look of the 15 better + she'll be driving it more than I will.

Its Tuxedo Black with:
401A package
Dual panel moonroof
2nd row bucket seats with center console
adaptive cruise with collision warning
The dealer threw in:
Cross bars
all weather mats
wheel locks
Molded Splash guards - which they'll install on Saturday.

It was dealer ordered, but I bought it about an hour after it rolled off the truck. It had 6.7 miles on it after my test drive, and 8.1 the next morning when I picked it up. They said the miles were due to the inspection.

First impressions: - We took the car to CT (about a 3 hour drive) to visit family for the holidays right after we picked it up.

I think this car is underrated. We drove about 10 different cars from the highlander up to a loaded q7, and I think you're getting a lot for your money. Its quiet, and very quick for a large SUV. Its a great highway cruiser, and barely needs to downshift when passing which is great.

The MFT/sync system is good, but has some quirks I'll need to get used to. It could also be a bit faster. I find myself having to wait to type things in some times.
The one thing the sport needs is a solid set of HID's or LEDs. this is very disappointing in a 50K vehicle. I started looking for HID kits, but am not sure if I am going to take the plunge or not yet.

I love the ambient lighting, except the cup holders are way to bright for night driving. Has anyone ever disconnected just the cup holder lights? Can it even be done without screwing up the rest of the system?

First thing, I plan on doing is taking the front license bracket off. We don't need them here in PA, and it came like that from the factory.

I plan on getting the front windows tinted tomorrow with formulaone (llumar) to match the back windows. They'll also put a clearbra on the back bumper.

So.. I'm looking forward to looking through the forums and getting ideas for some mods.
