I just pulled my 91 XLT trani pan and come to find out my fluid was crap. I know I will have to replace the filter, hint, why I took the pan off. But, what else should I replace? I have herd about the Servo Seal, but where is it? Any thoughts so I can put this thing back togather.

Why did you pull the pan to start with? Were you having problems, and if so what were they? That would help determine what to replace.

Yeah, you should have done this a while ago. If your transmission is not malfunctioning, there's really no need to just replace parts, other than preventative maintenance (which is not a bad idea). The only things you REALLY need to replace are the filter and fluid.

filter, fluid, and gasket.
Also try to flush the cooler and lines before you put ot back together.
Make sure you use the right filter (dacron) and the exact right fluid.
You also need to follow the proper proceedure for re-filling it to the right level.

good luck!

u should replace the pan for sure:)
