The Air Charger kit by K&N states that any hose that r attached to the aircleaner box cannot be reinstalled in the kit. What r they for? How will they effect my engine? Will I pass inspection? Wht Do i do with them when they r off?

I think what this means is that any factory system (hose) that brings air to the box will not have an attachment site. I don't know much about the early models, but the stock air path for my truck went through the side quarter-panel. This route still brings air with the Filtercharger, but now the filter gets air from "everywhere" in the engine bay: it's totally open. Tomorrow I'm gonna work on using some inexpensive wide hose to make some sort of ram-air. I'll put the inlet in the bumper or front spoiler openings and let the outlet sit near the filter element.

You will pass inspection unless you get a real dick, and spare misc parts are always nice to have laying around Dead Link Removed
