K&N AIR FILTER WISTLELING

I installed a k&n air filter last year and it seems like whenever the weather warms it emits a loud wistleing/hum sound is this normal?

its normal, thats one of the tradeoffs for more power....

I just put a KKM on my truck and I noticed alot more noise too. However... the whistling only occurs when the throttle is partially open. Once it is mostly open all you hear is engine roar and the whistle goes away. Is this what you fellas are talking about?

Its the IAC, not the filter. Only time I get a whistling noise is also when its hot outside but its the IAC.

if u get an exhaust ull notice a whisp sound since the back pressure is all freed up. sound like a tssssssssssssssssssss.
