yea i just used some 2 strand lamp wire when i did mine. just something pretty heavy. dont ask the guys at home depot though cause they'll tell you you need to go to auto zone
Whatever you use just make sure it has plenty on insulation and is flexable. Use gromets where you are passing the wire through a drilled(bare metal) hole so that the metal doesnt rub off the insulation on the wire.
