I got 2 brand new sets of kc daylighters (4 total) for a steal on ebay, everything was legit, brand new lights, exactly as described, but yeah I got them for a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere else ;)

You get what you pay for usually. I have never seen them in action but for the price I cant believe that the beam pattern, strength of the lense, quality of the light and for sure the warantee are as good as KC.
But, how good of lights do you need? How long you gonna keep them? How much are you gonna use them? Maby you dont need better lights.
Something to consider.....

i bought 2 sets this morning. They were 70 bucks including shipping. Thats a steal, i wont use mine much, unless i am mudding or something, other than that they are looks. I can let you know how they are when i get them in next wednesday. -TJ

I had a set of 6 X 9 and a set of 4 X 6 KC "lookalikes" on my ranger for many years. They are going back on the ranger soon (my brother has it). The good-they were cheap and worked (lasted as well). The bad-they were cheap. They are chrome and like to rust really bad if you don't keep polish on them. Even then its a fight to keep rust at bay.

I will go with brand names when I buy lights for my X.

me personally i will never pay full price for some brand new KC lights a light is a light lol
walmart sells some 6inch rount offroad lights look just like KCs ( KC covers fit them perfect) they are $15.98 brand new they are 100watt lights with true 100watt H3 bulbs they work great i had some on my old jeep they was awsome but sold them along with the jeep im gettin ready to buy 4 of them to put on top of my 93 X soon as i figure out hwo to rig up a light bar lol

I run the WalMart lights on my Explorer(4x6/55watt) and my B2(large oval ones/55 watt). For the speed you are traveling while running trails what is the need to see 1/2 a mile ahead of you? I could see the use if you were speeding across the desert, but at 2 - 20 mph the WalMart lights light up the trail fine for me. If you got the cash to buy the expensive lights go for it, but remember they are usually mounted where they will get hit by branches and rocks and stuff. I'd rather replace a set of $20 WalMart lights instead of a set of $100 KCs... ;) Just my $.02...

i ran the walmart lights for a while and i thought htey worked great...but then i bumped into someone and the lights broke. so i was REALLY glad they were cheap lights. so IMO i would say get the cheap ones so if you break them you are only out $15 a light
