Hi, I'm trying to hook the a set of factory fog light with the factory fog light switch from another Explorer and it keep blowing the inline (4)15 AMP fuse I attached to. Also tried the Bosch relay and it did not power up but hear click only. Can someone show me exactly which terminals (87,87A,86,85,30) from the relay attach to the four color wire on the stock fog light switch? My 95 Explorer do not have the factory foglight relay or wiring harness. Thanks.

Bill Kemp said:
tan/orange stripe = from relay-switched fog lamp power wire to dash switch's "fog power on" LED
red/black stripe = power from dash illumination circuit to switch's night illumination
blue/blk stripe = wire from ground side of relay coil to switch
blk = single common ground wire from switch and indicator lamps to vehicle chassis ground

According to the above post and my own knowledge:

Pin 30 = Battery (ONLY)
Pin 85 = Battery or any other 12V source
Pin 86 = blue/blk stripe on switch
Pin 87 = Power to foglights (also tap this line and run it to tan/orange stripe)
Pin 87a = Left Blank

Now for the switch, we have TWO cables left without power:

red/black stripe - This will connect to the same line that lights provides power to your other dash lights.
blk = single common ground wire from switch and indicator lamps to vehicle chassis ground. MAKE SURE this ground is good or the lights will not turn on is this whole system is a ground switched system.

I'll put together a schematic in a bit for illustration purposes.

Thank you very much. Hope this'll stop the fuse blowing.:D
