Is it possible to change the key pad code? The previous owner lives 5 mins from me, is young with a lot of friends that knows the code. I am not saying I don't trust them, but would feel better if I had a new code on it. You just never know.

You cannot change the code. You can only add additional codes. But the factory one is there for the long haul. You may be able to replace the keyless entry module though...

I found some posts on this subject. I learned how to "ADD" to the factory code.
Also learned a couple more things. How to lock all doors, unlock all doors using the keypad. This site is frackin awsome!!! I am new on here and have not learned my way around yet, but I am learning!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Section 525.

there is a **** ton of info on this site, it's really an anomoly when you can't find what you need by searching. and if you can't find it, then it's probably new to everyone so take pics. welcome!

You can easily change the code by swapping to a different code module. The left rear quarter trim panel has to come out to get to it, but it's plug and play for your truck. I believe any 95-97 Explorer entry module will work for the 95 truck.

To add a code, enter the hard code, then press "1", then enter the new code wanted. Good luck,
