I have a '97 Explorer OHV/4.0., purchased used. It has the keyring remote & also the keypad on the door. Problem is, I do not know what the entry code is.
I thought I remember reading somewhere that the keypad code is on a sticker somewhere on the vehicle, possibly on one of the modules, behind a panel, etc. Anyone have an idea where it may be located?
I would rather not pay out a (modest) amount of cash to the dealer for them to retrieve it with their scanner. I guess a regular OBDII scanner won't do the job will it?
Ideas/suggestions?
Thanks!
