How do I permanently disarm the keyless entry/alarm/starter disable on my 94 Ex? It has the dealer installed system, I think. There is a button under the dash for the override, but it doesn't work. it's annoying having to disarm the system every time I want to start the truck. After 15 seconds (when I shut off the truck), the system automatically disables the starter, and the dash indicator starts blinking. But, it doesn't arm the alarm or lock the doors. Is that what its supposed to do?
I really don't need an alarm system in this truck. If I just pull a fuse, won't it keep me from starting the truck?

you can try pulling the fuse. when it comes to some of those dealer installed alarms, you just never know what the case is/was or will be

Gijoecam, what happened to my factory alarm? It's changed...

Questions for you...

I have an aftermarket which was going to be taken out, so I put it in valet mode. Then, the other day I hit the unlock button on the factory alarm/fob 3 times. Now the lights flash when the factory alarm is set or disarmed. That never happened before. And now if you hit the lock button once, it locks the doors, if you press it twice, it locks doors and sets the alarm;

also, if you press the unlock once, it only unlocks the drivers door, it twice, it unlocks all doors.

Questions: Is that flashing light feature part of the factory install? Where can I read more about this alarm system? Thanks!:cool:

Yup when i had my 99 it did the same thing with the factory keyless system.
if you are looking for info on it try checking the owners manual if you have it.
Should have a whole section about it

Ford's website also has this info if you go into the owners section of it

It's a trip... so I can have the aftermarket removed? No need to buy a new alarm! This is sweeet! Thanks!
