I would like information or instructions on how to pogram a keyless remotes for 1997 explorer because there are something rare with it; I Can open my Ford Explorer with a 1996 Chevrolet tahoe keyless remote and with my remote I can't do it; I replace the keyless remote batery and it doesn't work.

I think my keyless remote is not programing well.

Would you like to help me with my problem? or guide me to solve it.

Thanks.

Hi again! You never answered on the other site if you can test you remote on another Ford. If the remote doesn't work, then that is you problem. If you know for sure that the remote is good, the service manual has a step by step troubleshooting guide. You can buy a CD with the full service manual for about $15 on e-bay. If you need the step by step, I can print it, scan it, and create a pdf file I can e-mail to you. You will need a tester to run the diags and pull the codes.

To reprogram a remote on a 95-97 do the following:

cycle iginition from off to run 5 times within 10 sec, ending in run, all doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode, press any button on the 1st remote transmitter. door locks will cycle(lock then unlock) to confirm programming. to program additional remotes - press any button on the next remote(upto 4 total possible) locks will cycle again. turn iginition off. locks will again cycle to indicate the end of the programming mode.

I have a key fob from a 2003 F-150 can i program that to work with my truck?

No, because the one from your F-150 is the second generation RKE system and will not work on your '97. But if you had a '98, that'll work. Sorry bud.

well if that be the case I might have to post in the for sale form
