Keypad issues.

My 2006 Explorer keypad 1/2 button does not work. I have used the kepad since purchasing the car in 2005. The 1/2 button quit working this summer (of course the keys were locked in the car). I have determined the 1/2 button doesn't work as when pushed it does not light up the pad. The other numbered buttons all light up the pad when pushed. Any ideas on how to fix.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2006-2010 section. It sounds like you need a new keypad.

It should light up, Id dissamble it and see if there are contacts that could be cleaned. this works on some alarm system keypads. Does your master code have a 1/2 in it ? If not you would be ok!

Yes, it does have the 1/2 in it. What is the best way to get to it, thru the door pannel?
