From what I've read, it's a common problem that the light in the keypad goes bad. People have said it has to be replaced because it's a sealed unit with no accessible bulb. Mine's been burnt out for years, and I changed my code to something I can do in the dark. Here's my question -
Has anyone tried opening it up and fixing the bulb? What's involved, and how difficult is it? I know removing the keypad is not a big deal.
If it's really not doable, what does a new one cost?
