So I received my KKM intake last Monday, and figured after I week I'd let everybody know how it's been since. Over all installation was easy, took maybe 5-10 minutes. As far as performance, I've notices fuel mileage has improved more than anything. My commute is primarily highway for about 7.5mi each way, instead of blowing through an entire tank in one week, I only used 3/4 of a tank. Not the most scientific data, but it works. Noise wise, it's just as quiet as stock,(I'm not a very aggressive driver) unless you need to pass, and get on it. As far as power is concerned, if there was an increase, it really isn't noticeable to me. I have monitored intake temps with my scan tool, and while driving IAT is only 2 degrees higher than ambient air temperature, it rises while at idle, but chances are it also did that with the stock intake, so I'm not going to worry about a heat shield. Luckily fall in Las Vegas means high 70s. So, useless info for most, but if someone is having a hard time deciding, maybe this'll help. I read a lot of comments about how the stock intake "is a cold air intake". True, but it's probably not as efficient as it could be.
