Then stick an open element filter on the end of your tube and be done with it. "Forced air" and bigger tubes isn't going to help you. From there, look at bigger TBs and MAFs, then a chip, etc etc.
i have the i fab with the aluminum tube this is prob the way to go because the alum. tube helps cool down the air a little it does help out i felt som difference between the full intake and just the filter adapter

If HP is that important try getting a cowl induction hood, the air would be fresher than what your getting now. and the BBK throttle body is what you will want next if you can't get a supercharger. after a thAt a custom chip would be cool. the MAF really doesn't do alot, but something its like that saying "Something is better than Nothing"
I heard that Tornadoes and thottle body spacers are very close to useless for the first gens. Well I think I named all the bolt ons besides nitrous. From here you will have to open up the engine and do internal work.
aluminum will work like a thermal sheild. It'll keep the air that it gets at the same temp it entered the filter. And in the Engine compartment really won't make a difference cause the air is most likely not so cool as desired cause the engine is going to get hot. The stock tube isn't bad cause plactic isn't heat conductive. And to my apinion it isn't air restrictive. Aluminum is basically for looks. See your intake sucks air through the thottle body. And the only known parts that will restrict air is the filter you use and throttle body. A cowl induction hood can play a role in keeping the air temp down a bit.
Finally me and Robb both close to agreeing on something
