Ok well lately I have been researching this whole KKM intake idea and after the first failure I dont really see a need to do another. Instead I just cut a big rectangular whole in the front of my airbox and put a drop in k&n filter inside. So now there is no lil silenser and about the whole front of the airbox is cut out. Now what would the difference be? Would it still b worth it to do KKM?

otehr than looks and sound of the cone filter. i say no... i actually did this on my 94, thats why when i went wheeling without ineer fenderwells, i hydrolocked it.... it basically sucked water right off the tire

ouch from kkm or cut airbox?

the cut airbox...... anyways i personally think the kkm looks a lot better than the cut airbox.......

either would have still cuased me the same problem though... the amount of mud i was in, the stock airbox really wouldnt have even prevented it much more.....

well u cant really tell the airbox is cut at all, i didnt swiss cheese it, i jus cut most of the front off so it sucks in as much as possible from the front and jus dropped in a k&n, i got the throaty sound now

If you give me your email address i can send you a pic of mine. I basically turned it into the KKM minus the pipe, works great, sounds bold too!
