Knock sensor replacement on a 1997 explorer sport

The wire on the knock was eaten by a leaky thermostat housing. Now that the thermostat and housing have been replaced how do I replace the knock sensor?

Unfortunately, the upper and lower intake manifolds must be removed to replace the knock sensor: SOHC V6 knock sensor replacement
