Did you ever do something on a spur of the moment, because something little bugs the hell out of you?

For months, I've been fighting to find parts for this damn saddle tan.
Why?

Because of this:

And this:

I mean- sure it's minor, and I can't see either of them while driving, but dammit, they bug the s*** out of me!!

So, in a moment of "Damn you Saddle Tan, DAMN YOU!"

I bought an Ex for $89.21 today.
Well, most of it anyway:

Now I get to carefully clean each piece by hand, in the spare bathroom...

the mats are already in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. :D

I need to grab a dash, headliner, consoles (upper and lower) and the B-pillar trim yet but ran out of time today, but no rush- it won't go in until spring, and I know I can get parts whenever I want to go to the junkyard and I know they'll have 3 or 4 Ex's to choose from...

...becasue it's not that motherf*****g SADDLE TAN!!! MAN that felt good. :D

I think I'll put in new carpet as well, I grabbed the rear carpeting/seat back carpet, but for the cabin, I'll get new- because it's Snowball! ;)

Does anyone need some Saddle Tan parts? Call them before I BURN them. The console armrest is mine, I will be recovering it in gray...

I was going to do Prairie Tan, but noe of them around either, adn the Mounty I pulled the front seats out of, had the brears smashed, and I thought "I'll never match this Mounty pattern... F-it. Let's go gray."

I have that same saddle tan interior. I live about 1/4 mile from a pretty big junkyard. I could have bought that trim piece and that ashtray for practically nothing. You would just have to reimburse me for what I pay and the shipping charges. I kow the owner very well. So I don't get charged alot for parts.

Oh, by the way. Yes, things like that do bother me.
My headliner looks like someone took it out, laid it on the ground and let a cat scratch it all up. It was like that when I bought it. I just hate the look of it.
Also I have this black mark about 1-1/2 inch x 3 inches long right in the middle of my passenger side airbag cover. It kills me everytime I see it!

Yeah, my headliner is trashed as well, and I have holes in my console center. I'm **** about stuff, so it's all stuff I would replace, but in 5 months of looking and waiting, I have yet to see a saddle in the boneyard. I'm up for the gray, will make finding parts easy should I need something.

I never really liked the "leather" either, so I wanted to go cloth- my chance of finding cloth Saddle seats in my 2 pick 'n pulls- about 1 in 1,000,000...

Appreciate the offer though! :)

If you can't get a passenger airbag- let me know- mine is clean... And saddle tan! :D

If it makes you feel any better, I have the "willow" interior. :D

Heck no it doesn't! there are TWO of those at the yard right now... Ha ha! :D

There are 2 saddle tans in the junkyard near me. The rest are grey. None have a good passenger side air bag cover, so heck yea, I'll buy it from ya!

Your name is on it, Walnut... ;) I probably won't be doing anything with the swap until it warms up a little, and I have to get my new carpet and a gray headliner w/ moonroof to hit the yard yet next weekend. One should be in there tomorrow.

You can put floor mats in the washing machine?

I know what I'm doing tomorrow. ;)

You can, but make sure you don't let them run through a high speed spin- the mats end up sliding down and getting stuck under the agitator and they burn up the edges of the mats becasue the drum is spinning, but the agitator is not- I've ruined a few mats that way- I put them in with some simple green or light detergent, run the normal cycle, and let it drain. Then rinse in the utility sink or the shower, then hang to dry... But you'll be surprised how much crap comes out.

I've done the power washer before a lot fo times, and I always seem to get lines where the stream was, but if you hold it far enough away, it works well. I think it helps the mats by soaking them to get out a lot of stuff. May want to let yours soak in the soapy water for 10 minutes before letting the agitator turn on.

Good luck!
