I just found out that A1 Cardone now remanufactures tcase motors, and has listings for explorers through 2001. Most auto parts stores/counterguys don't know about these, but anyplace that can get A1C stuff should be able to get these.

Application Part No:
91-94 #48-206 $149 partsamerica.com
95 #48-206 (w/7 terminal square plug - 10 pin connector)
95 #48-204 $149 partsamerica.com (w/7 terminal rectangle plug)
96-01 #48-204

Thought maybe this'd help for those whodon't want to pay $300+ at ford.

Did you buy one for your 92 and everything worked out ok? I took mine apart, and it didn't work when I put it back together. Did you have to special order it from the auto parts dealer? Thanks, Gary

no, i didn't order one, I overhauled mine before I found out about this. I do trust A1c, just because I've bought their reman'd parts before. and they probably won't have them in stock at most places, I think they;re pretty new

thanks for posting that. that's exactly what i need. what a coincidence. i was just about to do a search
