i have a 98 4dr xlt with 81k on it and i while back i put on a new gibson catback which i love but it rubs against my shock absorber or end link depending on if i strap it up higher without using hanger. i bought new kyb gas-a-just absorbers but i know that wont raise the ride just dampen it. and it seems that my truck sags in the rear so i believe that is what is causing the problem with my exhaust rubbing against my absorber. i can get new leaf springs for $317 for the pair from eaton springs. my question is should i buy them or just buy helpers and also do you think that would solve my problem with the exhaust? i can also for another $30 get the springs to be stronger. please help!

There are companies at least i know a few here in new york that just do springs, shocks and suspension work. They will be able to add a leaf or if i remember correctly re-arch them. I think that means they take them off and turn them upside down. something like that. They usually would charge about 65 dollars a side. I had it down to a old cherokee that i was using as a plow truck and after he added one leaf and rearched them wow what a difference. I was able to put in double the amount of sand bags and still be able to put more if i had the room. Just an idea.

I think if you add the HELPERS that will only but a temp fix.
