My friend told me if i took out a leaf in the suspension, it would lower the rear of the car..is that true? Secondly is it bad for the car? Thanks for responses.

Well, I'm sure it would lower it, but I would guess the ride would be softer, but bouncier, and better shock control would be needed. Now, I'm not totally sure on this, but that is what my guess would be

Yes, if you remove the overload spring you will drop the rear ~1/2". It's the straight leaf in the bottom of the spring pack.

Remember, when you take that spring out, that it is going to affect the way your car handles and also effect the ride quality..It is best, to do it right, and removing a spring is not the right way to do it..

Thanks for all the input, I called a local store and they have lowering blocks which would give either a 2 or 3" drop. My only problem is that I thought they also had springs to lower the front but they didn't. Do you guys know of a place where i could order or get coil springs?? thanks alot

blocks? no

blocks are cheap and easy but skip em and do the spring thang...

Eibach probably makes lowered front coils for your ride. Get em. If they dont search around..they are made by someone.

Figure out the approximate drop you will get from that, then have your rear leaves de-arched the same amount or maybe a little more if you dont plan on being loaded up in back.

Belltech and others may also offer a complete front/rear kit with new springs front and rear.

Dont forget the alignment afterwards for the front end.

Well, yesterday i called around..Belltech doesn't make anything for my year explorer, and i found a place that can order Eibach springs for the front (2" drop) for $200...I'll install those myself..Now as far as the back, the blocks are $30+$75-install..should i do the blocks? Blocks will give me 3"..thanks
